The club has beginner sessions, which includes instruction on the safe use and handling of equipment and time to develop some basic flat water paddling skills on the river or lake. Expect it to run for about 60 min. Participants should plan on getting wet from splashes or falling into the water.
- shorts or bike pants
- t-shirt, preferably a quick drying material (not cotton) or if the weather is cool, a long-sleeved thermal
- booties or plastic sandals (no bulky shoes) if required. Kayaking is mostly done in bare feet
- a towel and change of clothes

These introductory sessions are for adults who are new to paddling or new to paddling flat water kayaks. They are held usually on Saturday mornings starting at 8.00am. Bookings are required.
